Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and happy New Year! I hope that everyone got to spend some quality time with the people that mean the most!
I had a wonderful time in Colorado, so far. Spent lots of time with my niece and nephews, sisters, brothers, parents and friends! I got to hear some of my favorite Colorado musicians, write with some good friends, play songs with my family, and go to the zoo!
I'm really looking forward to the coming year. 2013 was a great year for me. Life is always full of ups and downs, but when looking back its usually the good times that you remember, which is what I intend to do, while looking to future ventures.
Some highlights from my 2013:
The birth of my second nephew, Levi.
My song, Row by Row, on Balsam Range's Papertown, became number one on the Gospel Charts, was nominated for IBMA's Gospel Recorded Event of the Year, and was on IBMA's Album of the Year (also, Papertown).
Dancin In the Kitchen' was released on Darren Nicholson's Things Left Undone.
I got to record on some great records, wrote new songs, attended some fun parties, moved into a new house, made new friends, saw old friends, heard Tony Rice speak in his real and natural speaking voice, had a big time with the East Nashville Bluegrass Spectacular, played at Brown's Diner, played music with some of my heros and friends and performed at some sweet venues!
I wish everyone a very prosperous 2014 and I hope to see you in the Cave on February 1st when I get to open for Missy Raines!
See you soon!
