I am loving being in Nashville this fall, although I'm not sure that it is still fall after the first snow. Here's a picture of the city from the Shelby foot bridge last month when the weather was absolutely perfect!
As much as I love the fall, I am so ready for winter, and I hope that this winter we get a few substantial snow days in Tennessee! I think today was a good sign. I had to wake up super early to drive a friend to the airport and the wind was blowing and the tiniest little snowflakes were swirling all around. As much as I enjoy late nights and even later mornings it is nice to experience the early morning hours now and then.
Now, enough about the weather and on to a little recapping what else has been going on.
We had super spectacular Halloween show/party at Dino's to celebrate most every kid's second favorite holiday! We called it the East Nashville Spooky Spectacular! The place was packed, the costumes were elaborate, the drinks were cold and some of my favorite musicians and people came to lend their talents for an amazingly fun time! I only wish I had have taken more pictures, but here's one out front midway through the night, courtesy of Kate Weekes.
No Halloween is ever complete without my Ruby and her traditional "problem bear" costume. She celebrated by snoozing in the van while the festivities went on inside.
I've got a bunch of new songs that I can't wait to share with you, as soon as demo's are done, or sooner if you happen to make it out to a show in the near future. I also have a handful of shows that I'm pretty thrilled about that I'll be adding to the calendar shortly. Which one am I the most excited for, you ask? I'll be opening up for Missy Raines at the Bluegrass Underground on February 1st! If you don't know this about me already, I love caves! I also love Missy Raines! I've always wanted to live in a cave, but I guess I'll settle for playing a show in one, for now.
I hope you're enjoying the look of the website and I hope to see some of you at a show sometime soon! Enjoy the upcoming holidays, friends!
Here are a few more pictures from the last month or so:
